"When I see something beautiful, my first thought is, 'how can I recreate this?"
Emily's story starts as a kid. Always drawing. Always painting. Always creating. If you asked Emily when she was five what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would have instinctively said “an artist.”
Life didn’t go as her 5 year old self would have planned. As is for most people, there were many plan changes and detours along the way.
She had a 10-year career as a hairdresser, battled extreme depression, got married and had 3 kids in three years. Despite it all, she is finally pursuing her dream. She creates primarily for her own mental health as the process is healing and grounding.
She works mostly with fluid paint and texture. She's finding her stride as an abstract intuitive mixed media artists. Finding ways to combine watercolor, textures, and mark making has been her current favorite.
Emily also sells her work in local galleries and on her online website
