11"x14" - Acrylic on canvas (0.75" gallery wrapped).

This is an extension of Leila's "Dirty Water" collection depicting jars either filled with old paint water or simply covered by paint from extensive use while painting. It was initially created during a move across the country in order to keep track of some of the last few moments in the space Leila left. Creating these jars has grown to become a way for her to return to her most foundational mark making in it's purest form. The marks made for these pieces can be found in varying tightness or loosenss within all of her work, creating these jars grounds Leila and reminds her of what she loves about creating.

This specific piece is part of a 4 part mini series within the "Dirty Water" collection called "Four Seasons" and this is "Summer". Each piece is paired with a piece of string that further illustrates the concept of being tethered. This piece would look great in any space that needs a pop of color to bring several bright colors together. When paired with the entire series,  it could also elevate a small office, bedroom, or living room space when hung in a grid or in a row.
