An acrylics on canvas. 24” x 18”. Natural, unfinished float frame.

A collector and friend once pointed out the similarities of the crevices in the paint here, to those of stretch marks after pregnancy. Daisy realized it was such a perfect metaphor for this piece. Growing and stretching, never quite the same as before, but for the better. Soon Daisy became facinated and began an entire series devoted to this concept. There’s a sense of movement here, along with the lush greens and glowing yellow hues that are so reminiscent of summer breezes, while laying in the grass.
